Itinerary Suggestion
Part I - Faroe Islands 4 nights
Day 1 - Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport in the Faroe Islands you will pick up your rental car and drive only 200 meters down the road to 62N airport hotel where you will stay your first night. After check-in we suggest that you go for a sightseeing tour to Bøur and Gásadalur – from which you will have a fantastic view over Tindhólmur and Mykines.Day 2 - Vestmanna Bird Cliffs
After breakfast and check out of the hotel you will pass through a subsea tunnel that leads to Streymoy. We suggest that you drive to Vestmanna where you have the opportunity to go on a boat tour to see the most popular attraction on the Faroe Islands - the birdcliffs north of the village Vestmanna. The boat trip is approx. 2 hours and needs to be booked in advance. After the boat tour you will drive a bit more north over Streymoy - crossing "the bridge over the Atlantic" for Eysturoy - further to Eiði where you can see the famous rock formations known as the "giant and the old hag" and also Slættaratindur (882 meters), the highest mountain on the Faroe Islands. Enjoy the next night at the unique Hotel Gjáargarður in Gjógv.
Day 3 - The world's smallest capital Tórshavn
Today the tour goes south to the world's smallest capital Tórshavn, where you will check in at the hotel where you will be staying the next two nights.
Enjoy the city by taking a walk to the old part of town “úti á Reyni” and “Tinganes” – one of the worlds oldest parliaments.Day 4 - Kirkjubøur - Travel decades back in time
We suggest a tour to Kirkjubøur (20 min. drive) – Kirkjubøur is the old cultural centre of the Faroe Islands. Visit the roughly 900-year-old Roykstovan and Ólav's church from AD 1111, named after King Olav the Holy. This church is the oldest church on the Faroe Islands and is still in use. See the ruins of St. Magnus Cathedral, which is regarded as one of the largest cultural attractions on the Faroe Islands.
Also we can recommend a visit to the small islands Nólsoy - just 20 minutes away from Tórshavn - you will discover an island totally different from the 2010 Europe - you will travel several decades back in time. The island has the largest colony of storm petrels - but these birds are only possible to see at night time. Enjoy the beautiful nature by taking a walk out to the light house.Day 5 - Departure to Iceland
The visit to the Faroe Islands has come to an end and you are heading to Iceland. The rental car will be returned at the airport. Hopefully you will leave these 18 islands in the North Atlantic with many great memories.Part II - Iceland 4 nights
Day 5 - Arrival in Iceland
Pick up the rental car at the Keflavik Airport. Drive to the Golden Circle Area. Overnight stay in the area.Day 6 - The Golden Circle Drive

You can explore the world-famous Geysir area, where hot springs are in abundance, geysers erupt and pools of mud bubble. You can also stop by the magnificent Gullfoss waterfalls. You may want to take an optional snowmobile ride from the Langjökull Glacier, or go river rafting or take a riverjet ride along the Hvítá river.
Stay in the Golden Circle Area.
Day 7 - Explore Hveragerði
Drive to the town of Hveragerdi, the most precious gem of Hveragerði is its geothermal area. For safety reasons, the geothermal area is securely fenced off, but may be visited by arrangement with the tourist information centre. Carry on and see the Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss waterfalls, and the magnificent black sand beaches around Vík Village, passing Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Drive back to Reykjavik. Stay two nights in Reykjavik.Day 8 - Reykjavik
Reykjavik is ideally situated to explore some great countryside and history, all within an easy drive of the city. In the south west visit Hvalfjörður with its sloops, shores, canyons and waterfalls and the lovely town of Borganes, alternatively the geothermal area Krísuvík where you’ll discover an expanse of steaming volcanic vents and boiling hot springs and the unique and beautiful Lake Kleifarvatn.Day 9 - Departure
