      Day 1 - Arrival in Iceland

      Arrive at Keflavik International Airport. Pick up the rental car at the airport. Depending on your arrival time, drive to the Blue Lagoon Spa and enjoy the lagoon. Note, pre-booking is essential if you wish to bathe in the lagoon. We can book this for you! Continue to Reykjavík and check in at your hotel. Enjoy exploring Reykjavík at leisure.

      Overnight stay in Reykjavík at Fosshótels or similar 3 star hotel. Option to upgrade to 4 star hotels such as Hotel Reykjavík Saga, Hótel Reykjavík Centrum or Fosshotel Reykjavík.

      Day 2 - Whale Fjord and Saga Valley Borgarfjörður
      Explore the Saga Valley Borgarfjörður with its waterfalls, hot springs and historic sites. You will have the option to see the Hraunfossar and Barnafossar waterfalls. Visit Europes most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver.

      Overnight stay for 2 nights in West Iceland, Fosshótel Reykholt, Fosshótel Hellnar, Fosshótel Stykkishólmur or similar.

      Day 3 - Snæfellsnes peninsula
      Explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with its snow-capped volcano, stunning coastline, lava fields and bird colonies. Visit the cosy town of Stykkishólmur where you can catch a boat tour around the Breiðafjörður Bay.

      Day 4 – Head to North
      Drive to Skagafjörður, the valley of the horses and home of Glaumbær turf farm. Explore Akureyri, the capital of North Iceland, and Goðafoss, the waterfall of the gods.

      Spend two nights in North Iceland at Fosshótel Húsavík, Fosshótel Mývatn, Hotel KEA or similar.

      Day 5 – Explore Lake Mývatn
      Explore the sights of Lake Mývatn. You can also take an optional evening whale watching cruise from Húsavík (June-August).

      Day 6 - Head to East and see Dettifoss Waterfall
      Drive around Tjörnes Peninsula and visit Europe’s most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss (mid June to August). As you proceed further east, you should pass through a large wasteland area.

      Overnight in East Iceland at Fosshótel Eastfjords or similar.

      Day 7 - Scenic fjords of East Iceland
      Drive along the scenic fjords of east Iceland and enjoy the small town of Höfn. Explore the Vatnajökull glacier, Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon and Skaftafell National Park.

      Overnight in the South East, Fosshótel Vatnajökull, Fosshótel Núpar or similar. Option to upgrade to 4 star Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon.

      Day 8 - Waterfalls and Glaciers
      Drive along the south coast and witness many natural wonders such as black lava beaches, waterfalls and glaciers. The folk museum at Skógar is worth a visit which is close to the impressive Skógarfoss waterfall.

      Overnight at Hotel Stracta or similar.

      Day 9 - Explore the famous Golden Circle
      Your first stop should be at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. The park rests in a valley created by the power of the tectonic plates that are slowly drifting apart. Keep on driving to Haukadalur hot spring area where you will see several hot springs, the most active being the geysir Strokkur, which erupts every 10 minutes. The next stop is the Gullfoss Waterfall (golden waterfall). This waterfall falls in two cascades into a narrow and deep gorge. Further on at your trip will you visit the church and historical site of Skálholt before heading on to the volcanic crater Kerið.

      Spend the last 2 nights in Reykjavík at Fosshótel or similar 3 star hotel. Option to upgrade to 4 star hotels such as Hotel Reykjavík Saga, Hótel Reykjavík Centrum or Fosshotel Reykjavík.

      Day 10 - Explore Reykjanes Peninsula and Reykjavik
      If you're keen on further exploration before heading home, the Reykjanes Peninsula has plenty to see, such as the Blue Lagoon, Gunnuhver hot spring area in Krýsuvík and Keilir Mountain. The picturesque surroundings around Lake Kleifarvatn are not to be missed. You don´t want to miss the chance to cross between the two tectonic plates of Europe and North America on the bridge between continents. If you have not been to the Blue Lagoon you have time to stop today.

      Day 11 - Departure day
      Depending on your departure flight, explore Reykjavík, visit museums, shops and various attractions the city has to offer. Depart for home, we recommend to be at the airport about 2 hours before departure. Return your rental car at Keflavík International Airport.
