ITINERARY SUGGESTION - 3 NIGHTS
Day 1 - Arrival and Relaxation
Arrival at Keflavík International Airport. Airport transfer to your hotel in Reykjavík and get yourself comfortable for the next three nights' stay. You have one complete access pass the hotel spa.
Enjoy Reykjavík at night.
Northern Lights Hunt Tour
Pick up from hotel 8.30pm / 9.30 pm, duration 3 hours. The Aurora Borealis are a spectacular natural phenomenon, and an opportunity not to be missed whilst in our beautiful homeland. The locations visited are different every tour since we go where it’s most likely to see the Northern Lights each day, meaning your tour will be unique and truly memorable. You will travel on a coach to the best locations with an English speaking guide. This tour is weather dependant and sightings are not guaranteed. If you do not see the lights on the first evening you are welcome to join the tour again free of charge the following night.
Day 2 - Golden Circle and Fontana Steam Baths
Combine history, natural phenomena and relaxation in the Golden Circle. Visit the majestic Gullfoss waterfall as well as the famous Geysir hot spring area, where the geyser Strokkur sprouts at regular intervals up to 25 meters / 82 feet. In Laugarvatn stop at a small country gallery where you can have a taste of rustic local Icelandic produce like homemade rye bread.
Afterwards relax at Fontana Steam Bath with its recently renovated facilities, including various types of steam baths, geothermal pools and hot tubs. Continue to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its geological phenomena and rich history. Return to Reykjavík in the early evening.
Day 3 - Blue Lagoon
The morning is open for shopping and sight-seeing. In the afternoon drive through rugged lava fields to the Blue Lagoon, a unique natural pool of mineral rich geothermal water located in the middle of a lava field in the pure and beautiful Icelandic wilderness. The Blue Lagoon is known for its special properties and beneficial effect on the skin. It attracts visitors from all over the world in search of health, relaxation and an exotic experience- all of which you can find here. Stop for a refreshing bath or swim in the pleasantly warm mineral-rich water, reputed for its healing properties. Head back to Reykjavík in the late afternoon.
Day 4 - Departure
Departure to the UK from Keflavík International Airport.
Depending on your flight, you may have time to enjoy Reykjavik in the morning. The route then leads from Reykjavík to Keflavík airport for check-in. Pick up for departure from hotel Reception approximately 3 hours prior to your flight time.
