It was a spectacular trip! All Iceland, in particular Louise, did an exemplary job planning the trip. Every detail was perfect. The hotel at the Marina was charming. We had a fabulous view of the harbor and the decor was fun. The total way to go is with the Superjeep tours. The Northern Lights evening was so fabulous we didn't need to travel out again. We actually saw a Coronal Mass Ejection which is the most intense Northern Lights one can see. The drivers were dedicated and would not "rest" until we saw them. An excellent touch is that they take pictures of the guests. They know how to capture the Lights behind you. They offer the pictures free of charge! The Superjeep day tour was magical and fun. Our driver was so friendly we laughed and had fun the entire 9 hours! We saw and learned so much we now love Iceland! The Blue Lagoon was even more than I thought it would be. It's just gorgeous and so peaceful. The way to go with this is to block out at least 3 hours and not make this a trip, "On the way to the airport." It's too special for that. We splurged and purchased the Luxury Package which included skipping the long line, robe/slippers, a drink in the Lagoon (so fun!) and two masks. Our skin never looked so good! We topped off our time with a delicious lunch in the private dining room (in our robes!). One would think a popular tourist destination would have a so-so restaurant but the food and service were wonderful.
The way to go is with All Iceland. They know the area, they know how to plan just for you and they are so friendly. Thank you Louise for a memorable trip!
