Drive along rugged coastline and glacial valleys, visit beautiful waterfalls and cross volcanic landscape. If you are travelling in the summertime, view the midnight sun. In the winter, look out for the Northern Lights.

Reykjavik, South and West Iceland - 4 nights
Day 1 – Arrival
Arrive at Keflavik International Airport. Pick up the rental car at the Airport.
You may want to visit the world famous Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa on your way to Reykjavik, it is ideally located on route. Relax for a few hours before heading to the countryside, a great start to your holiday!
Stay for 2 nights in the Golden Circle or South Shore area.
Day 2 – The Golden Circle Drive and South Shore
The Geysir Area “The Golden Circle” is a fascinating experience. Visit Þingvellir National Park; the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. You can explore the world-famous Geysir area, where hot springs are in abundance, geysers erupt and pools of mud bubble. You can also stop by the magnificent Gullfoss waterfalls. You may want to take an optional snowmobile ride from the Langjokull Glacier.
Drive along the South Shore, viewing Skogarfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Drive past the Eyjafjallajökull volcano and the Myrdalsjokull Glacier covered by black ash. Continue to Vik and stop by the village of Kirkjubaejarklaustur, where you can view systrafossar (the sisters waterfall).
Day 3 - Borgarfjordur and Snæfellsnes
Explore the natural wonders of Borgarfjordur; an interesting option is a sightseeing tour where you can view the waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnafossar. It is most interesting to drive all the way to the edge of the peninsula; it is just depend on how much you want to drive.
From Stykkisholmur continue west along road 54. You will drive through Berserkjahraun an area of impressive scoria lava around 4000 years old. Continue all the way to Snaefellsjokull.
Overnight stay in Borgarfjordur/Snaefellsnes.
Day 4 - Explore Reykjavik
Drive back to Reykjavik. Visit the geothermal area in Hveragerdi on your way. It is very interesting and overlooked by most.
Spend the morning in Reykjavik. Reykjavik is an exciting modern city with lots to see and do or if you want to relax visit one of the many spas and swimming pools. All swimming pools in Reykjavik are lovely – highly recommended for a visit. Look at the Reykjavik book to find pool near you. Laugardalslaug is the largest one.
Reykjavik is very modern city and there is so much to see and do. We will send you plenty of suggestions of the “must sees” in the city.
Day 5 - Departure
Depending on your time of departure you may want to enjoy the morning in Reykjavik or if you have not had the chance yet you may want to visit the Blue Lagoon on your way to the airport. Drive back to Keflavik International Airport and return the rental car. Check in opens approximately 2 hours before departure.
